Diocesan Director Orientation
Our next scheduled Diocesan Director Orientation is June 15-17, 2009 at our headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland. The Diocesan Director Orientation consistently receives positive evaluations from DDs and provides an opportunity to learn more about CRS' mission, our work overseas, and programs of support for dioceses. The Diocesan Director Orientation is a great time to meet CRS staff, executives, fellow Diocesan Directors and network with others from your region. Those who attend will have a chance to create a CRS action plan reflecting the unique situation of their diocese.
Here's what past orientation participants have said:
- It was informative, fast-paced and efficient.
- What I appreciated most was the sense of "anything's possible" given by the demonstration of the successes you've accomplished domestically and internationally.
- This was incredibly reinforcing and informative.
- It was great to meet people from all over the country — to hear of different challenges, strategies and successes.
- It's obvious that this is a great way to engage new directors in the mission, as well as to support us in our work.
- It really broadened my vision and scope of CRS beyond Operation Rice Bowl and Bishops' Lenten collection.
If you are interested in attending the orientation, please complete a registration form and submit it to Jacklyn Ireland at jairela@crs.org as soon as possible. The cutoff date for registration is May 1, 2009. If you have someone else in your diocese who could benefit from attending the Diocesan Director Orientation, please pass the information along and have them send in their registration information for consideration. While experienced Diocesan Directors are welcome, the orientation's primary focus is on Diocesan Directors that have been in the position less than two years.
