Domestic Programs
CRS Fair Trade promotes working with marginalized producers and workers in order to help them move from a position of vulnerability to security and economic self-sufficiency in international trading.
Take Action! Learn how your dioceses and religious community can best advocate policy positions and legislative issues that reflect the light of the Gospel and Social Teachings of the Church.
Operation Rice Bowl, the official Lenten program of Catholic Relief Services, funds development projects that improve peoples' ability to access food around the world and in local diocesan communities in the United States.
CRS' Global Fellows: A Parish Homily Program connects priests, deacons, and seminarians with our brothers and sisters in the developing world through overseas immersions trips. Upon their return, CRS empowers priests, deacons, and seminarians to preach in parishes across the United States about social justice and peace around the world.
Peacebuilding focuses on the process of how we get there — how we repair relationships and restore broken structures, how we prevent future devastation and how we address current injustices.
Youth and Young Adults
Food Fast is Catholic Relief Services' hunger awareness program for Catholic youth in the United States. Focusing on global poverty and justice, Food Fast provides an experience of solidarity with our brothers and sisters overseas, living our faith, and joining together in community to create lasting change in the world.
Frontiers of Justice, an immersion trip experience of global solidarity for a small group of Catholic high school teachers each summer, is offered by CRS in partnership with the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) Secondary Schools department.
Called to Witness is an overseas program co-sponsored by Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM). It is designed to provide a short-term, firsthand experience of the developing world for adults serving and working in Catholic youth ministry.
Going Global With Youth is a gateway to lesson plans, simulation activities, prayer services, stories, web links and opportunities that look at global issues through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching.
CRS College connects key global issues such as hunger, migration, HIV & AIDS and international poverty to the university classroom and campus.
CRS Campaigns
Catholic Campaign Against Global Poverty, a partnership between CRS and the USCCB, advocates for U.S. policies that foster economic and social development for people living in poverty throughout the world.
Justice for Immigrants: A Journey of Hope was designed to unite and mobilize a growing network of Catholic institutions, individuals, and other persons of good faith in support of a broad legalization program and comprehensive immigration reform.
The Catholic Campaign for Peace in the Holy Land is part of an unprecedented inter-religious initiative. This initiative engages Jewish, Christian and Muslim religious leaders and communities in a coordinated effort to promote a just peace in the Middle East. The Catholic Campaign builds upon and complements the ongoing efforts of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
