Our goal is that the Catholic community in the Midwest region of the United States acts on its faith in solidarity with people who are poor and vulnerable around the world, and sees CRS as a valued resource for carrying out the mission of the Church.
We actively strive to:
- Strengthen the capacity of Catholic institutions and ministries to integrate global solidarity into their programs and activities
- Mobilize individual Catholics to grow in their awareness and engagement in global solidarity through communications with CRS
- Support CRS advocacy efforts to shape U.S. public policy in a way that promotes greater justice and peace for those who are poor and vulnerable around the world
- Strengthen our own capacity for this work by listening carefully to the needs, priorities, and current reality of our Church
